Cowtown // Bonetti (EP Release Show) // The Skipping Forecast
April 25, 2015 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm£5.00
The Audacious Art Experiment presents….A Decent Cigar
Bigger news than a batch of Cubans in the US, we bring you the release show to Bonetti’s debut attempt, Dos Mescal Para Vamanos. It’s a celebration of the Latin Americas, and a collection of stories, quotes, field recordings and artist collaborations. This big effort has been a bit of a slow burner, taking over two years from start to finish, from factory to ashtray. But we all know a patient draw is a good draw.
Probably available on the night will be a dece CD, the usual download option and an additional mini graphic novel. As well as this, a bunch of smokin’ bands will play a lung of lethal tunes.

Sheffield’s greenest band have resurfaced from their solar powered camper van to issue a new batch of stoner riffs and off centre rock bass lines. Blend those with a decadent as hell 21-piece drum show and you’ve got what could silently known as ‘the Bonetti flair.’ Expect a set overrun with melodramatic stories involving sub-par apartment leases, South American hospitality and the scent of another man’s Cuban in ones face.

The Cows are coming to town all the way from Leeds, loaded with some big ol’ grins. They’ll have your left leg wobbling along with their electronic bass grooves, and your right butt-cheek clenched tight to their sublime vocal melodies. You could say their our favourite band in Yorkshire, but that would be favouritism. They’re great and non of us want to wait for this.

TAAE’s resident pot washers more recently know for their itinerant nature, have since softly settled in the breezes of Brighton to continue writing and recording songs on the QT. Blending guitar, drums and drones the pair seek to find a harmonious friction by rubbing hazy dream-pop overtones up against gritty and rootsy vocal harmonies. I think you’ll find they’re getting pretty close.
We may add more to the bill, you never know and we couldn’t possibly say.
Five quid donation on the door. Bring your own booze please. Don’t piss in the street. Be excellent to each other.
