/////// KEEL HER (London, UK) ///////
Since 2009, Rose Keeler-Schäffeler has been beaming out songs from the bedroom at an astonishing rate. Her songs are a like a diary; personal, direct and sometimes brief – uploaded to Soundcloud daily she has written over 200 works.
Moving out of the bedroom Keel Her has released tapes and records with Maximum Violence Immediately, Gnar Tapes, Italian Beach Babes, Suplex Cassettes, O Genesis (Tim Burgess of The Charlatans label) and her debut album on Fire Records imprint Critical Heights.
Live KEEL HER is joined by James Levitt (of bhurgeist, Warmhammer and co-founder of Tye Die Tapes) on guitar, Phil Serfaty (Omi Palone) on Guitar, Steven Stonhold (Van Stonholt, Gross Magic) and Kester Davies (Royal Limp.)
/////// SEEDS OF DOUBT (London, UK) ///////
Originally a solo project by founding member Chris, self releasing a 12 track cassette in 2013, S.O.D. has since grown into a fully fledged band with ex members of Mickey Gloss, Sharm El Shakes and Cool Customer. Their hazy, shambly aesthetic contains more than a trace of ‘80s Australian bands like The Clean, mixed with more recent American slacker pop types.
/////// BONETTI (Sheffield, UK) ///////
Loic Tuckey (Wooderson/Garage Station Flowers), Joe Doldon (Garage Station Flowers), Josh Kelson (Wooderson) and Joey the Snakeman (Avida Dollars) have grafted away in Audacious Space for the last year and created a salsa so hot, they had to spread it over two drummers on 23 pieces of kit. Taking influence from the guitars of Sonic Youth, rudiments of Tom Waits and the reverb soaked voice of 90s George Michael, Bonetti have become the greenest band in the EU. Party vibes but for the guys in the kitchen who have their own beat. EP out now on The Audacious Art Experiment.
/////// DRIFTS (North East, UK) ///////
A new NE venture featuring members of The Future Heads, Rivals and Jimmy Floyd Hassleband. After Rivals imploded in the great geographical brain-drain of 2014 (Tom moved to London) there was Drifts. Graham joined the sulking remnants to do drums and they soon found themselves making plans to do what they enjoy doing, swiftly recording this…
A few gigs have followed and they’ve recently recorded something with the man MJ in Leeds which should see the light of day, in one form or another, fairly soon.
