Having jammed out Audacious Space twice, Cork City’s finest psychedelic dream-poppers The Altered Hours return to Sheffield for a righteous blurzz fest at Picture House Social.
The Altered Hours exist in a swirl of the psychedelic and hypnotic. A dreamy shoegaze five piece from the south of Ireland, their live shows are known for their intensity and for the band’s ability to envelope both themselves and the crowd in their sound.
After a year’s worth of touring in support of their debut album ‘In Heat Not Sorry’, the band dashed into the studio and returned with a new EP ‘On My Tongue’, which opens a window into the rock and roll heart of the group. The EP will be released on Art for Blind & Penske Recordings this February 24th.
“A mini-masterpiece of drone pop… Concise, intense, and impossible to ignore” – Clash

“Powder-keg stuff that should be handled with care” – Crack Magazine
BEIGE PALACE Experimental noise merchants Beige Palace are joining us from Leeds using the train tickets originally purchased by their CHUNK housemates ZoZo.
Beige Palace’s sparse and jarring guitar riffs and droney synths build into powerful, heavy and passionate noise rock which will leave you beguiled.
“This slow, hypnotic repetitive slice of post hardcore is highly recommended for fans of Slint and Enablers.” Punktastic
SUN SIN SUN are a brand new 4 piece from Sheffield. They play fast garage psych that descends into slow, chaotic freak outs of acidic guitar, driving Krautrock bass, pounding drums and explosive vocals. Fans of The Pixies, Faust, Black Angels and The Cramps take note.
