Thee Mightees / All Ashore! / Duck / James Ewan Tait
February 24 @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm£5
Holy shit it’s a night of odd pop, indie fancies, fun times and general sexiness WITH ALL OF THESE GUYS….
Immensely enjoyable guitar-pop gems from the Sheffield 4-piece, rallying rough harmonies with deadpan humour and a touch of self-depreciation. With previous albums released on local label Delcious Clam Records, Fuzzkill Records of Glasgow and Chud Records of Leeds, they continue their onslaught on recorded music, having just completed a new EP, due out in spring, with Mr James Hoare (Ultimate Painting/Proper Ornaments) at his Green Lane Studios.
“Unashamed pop sensibility” – Silent Radio
“A name that sounds like it comes from the Kingston, Jamaica music scene circa 1969” – When You Motor Away
“There’s a lot of this sort of thing about, but Thee Mightees are better at it than most” – For the Rabbits
All Ashore exclamation mark
All Ashore! is an indiepop band from Sheffield. They aim to recapture the breathless rush of fuzzy jangly lo-fi pop that captured their hearts the first time. Live shows include stylish maritime attire and inflatable seaguls.
Wonky DIY synth/guitar noisepop from Sheffield. Industrial beats, distortion, delicious synths and catchy vocals.
James Ewan Tait
Weirdo crooner and noise enthusiast. “Pedal pushing psychedelic solo sublimity”. Plays guitar and sings.
