Over four albums and two EPs, the openly self-indulgent, utterly half-baked and ridiculously error-ridden sonic ramblings of Squeeze the Gs have upset and confused only a privileged few. But finally, for the first time, a special remixed and completely un-mastered collection of the very worst hits has been brought together for the general listener.
Be warned, Squeeze the Gs is not for those who like ‘music’. It is a project born of alcohol, boredom and rejection. All the songs on You Need to See a Better Psychologist: The Worst Hits of Squeeze the Gs were recorded between 2006 and 2011 in empty rooms in Grimsby and London. No great care has been taken in the production, nor has permission been sought to reuse any of the sounds contained. It is – after all – a very silly idea, but one you should still very much enjoy.
